Next step for 1601 Vine St: level-three slabs

With deep foundation work completed, Madison is pouring level-three slabs for the 375-foot residential tower owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Previous work included completion of the Meetinghouse foundations to allow the 24,000-square-foot family history and community center to be completed in time for the July 2016 grand opening of the new Latter-day Saints Temple.

The 1601 Vine St. project includes roughly 260 apartments, retail shops and townhouses around the base of the tower, public garden space, and a privately owned public street that will connect Vine and Wood streets to improve traffic flow. Madison’s scope includes approximately 30,000 yards of concrete for the 500,000-square-foot structure.
