Work to begin on Chinatown’s Eastern Tower Community Center

Madison was awarded work for the Eastern Tower Community Center, which will be built at the corner of 10th and Vine streets in Philadelphia’s Chinatown neighborhood. The long-planned, 20-floor tower will redefine the Center City northern skyline and reconnect a community long separated by an expressway. Ground breaking is planned for September.

The multiuse community center will connect the north and south sections of Chinatown, which are physically separated by the Vine Street Expressway, by serving as a hub of recreational, educational, cultural and health care services for the community. The tower will include 45,000 square feet of recreational space and retail on the first through fifth floors and 150 residential units on the upper levels.
