Madison wins SEPTA Frazer Maintenance Shop & Yard contract

Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) is planning significant renovations and expansion of the 35-year-old Frazer Shop and Yard Facilities to accommodate an increased Regional Rail fleet. This project is part of SEPTA’s Regional Rail Service Improvement Program, The general contractor is Bertino & Associates, Inc.

The first phase, which is underway, includes significant earthwork and stormwater improvements at the 40-acre site to create space for additional yard tracks. Later phases will include constructing additional shop buildings and a vehicle washer, making track modifications and modifying transportation facilities.

Madison is expected to begin work on this project during the summer months.
