Foundation Work Complete for the Temple University Science Education & Research Center & Wanamaker Plaza Project

Since December, Madison has been working on the foundations for two high profile projects at Temple University as part of a campus redevelopment plan known as Temple 20/20. The new Science Education & Research Center is a facility designed to provide advanced technology and modern lab spaces for student learning and research, while Wanamaker Plaza is an apartment building on campus. Foundations for both are now complete. In addition to excavation and foundation work, Madison’s role includes foundation waterproofing and eight levels of superstructure concrete slabs on metal deck. Madison will start pouring upper level slabs shortly after the start of the steel erection. Turner Construction Co. is serving as the construction manager for the Science Center, while Torcon Construction is the CM for Wanamaker Plaza.
