Madison handling concrete work for Bryn Mawr Hospital Parking Garage two-level addition

As part of a $200 million modernization project, Bryn Mawr Hospital is adding two levels on top of the existing Bryn Mawr Avenue parking garage. Madison will handle concrete work of topping on precast slabs as well as some foundation work. The hospital is planning to build a five-story, 203,000- square foot patient-care pavilion. The renovations and improvements have been noted as “the most significant facility improvement” and the second-largest capital investment in the 122-year existence of the hospital and in the Main Line Health System history. In addition to the $200 million modernization, a new 100,000-square foot medical office building for multi-specialty doctors’ offices is also planned for construction on Bryn Mawr Avenue by an unnamed private, national developer. Construction for the hospital renovations and the new patient-care pavilion are expected to begin in Summer 2016 and be completed in Winter 2018. Exton, Pa.-based HSC Builders is the general contractor on the project. Walker Parking Consultants or Wayne, Pa., is the structural engineer. RTKL, an architecture and planning firm, is designing the new patient-care pavilion. Stantec Consulting Services is serving as the overall project manager.
