Madison to Work on New Rutgers University Apartments

Madison was recently awarded a contract to begin working on the new Rutgers University Apartments – part of a $300 million College Avenue expansion. The project involves a 500-bed student residence hall on a former parking lot on the corner of College Avenue and Hamilton Street, which will feature 125 apartments, retail space and an outdoor green space. Dubbed “Rutgers Living Room,” the new living space resembles a Jersey-style boardwalk with features such as a giant outdoor screen that will broadcast movies and sporting events. Madison’s contract includes foundation installation, slabs on metal deck and topping slabs. The project is slated for completion in the summer of 2016.
