King of Prussia Development Continues to Surge

Since 2013, there have been several new developments happening along DeKalb Pike in King of Prussia, Pa. From fast food chains and car washes to shopping centers and healthcare facilities, the increase of high-demand fashion, food and lifestyle shops is exciting. And Madison is honored to be a part of the action with two new projects. 

The first project is The Container Store – a 24,000-square-foot building located next to DeKalb Pike at The Court. General contractor Scungio Borst & Associates chose Madison Concrete to provide excavation and backfill, foundations, 25,000 square feet slab on grade area and 18,500 square feet of tilt-up wall panels, which serve as the exterior walls of the building. Erection of the 21 tilt-up wall panels was completed in under a week. Construction was completed in November 2013 and the store opened to the public this spring. For more information, click here.

The second project Madison worked on is the Target Store – a 165,000-square-foot retail store located near the Valley Forge Shopping Center at DeKalb Pike and Henderson Road. The Target Store is one of only two custom designed stores in the country, which creates a unique amenity for retail shoppers. The Whiting-Turner Contracting Co., the general contractor on the project, selected Madison Concrete for their ability to meet the aggressive project schedule. Madison supplied foundation work for the structure, along with walls and slabs for the parking garage area and interior slabs for the main floor area.
