Madison awarded contract for Temple University library

Madison has been awarded the foundation construction work for the new library at Temple University in Philadelphia. The 225,000-square-foot building will stretch across one city block and stand four stories tall at the center of the university’s Main Campus. It has been designed with sustainable features and will go beyond the mere storage of books to include:

  • Administrative offices.
  • 24/7 study space.
  • Individual and group study spaces.
  • Learning and writing centers.
  • Storage and display space for the university’s special collections.
  • An outdoor balcony.
  • A food-service area.

The project, which broke ground April 2016, is projected to be completed in late 2018.
