Look ahead to 2018 trends

Concrete Construction magazine just outlined seven trends for this new year and we couldn’t agree more.  In fact, many of these “trends” are actually part of our core competencies at Madison Concrete and we couldn’t be more committed to addressing each of these industry focuses as means to ensure continued quality for each of you, our valued customers.

The identified trends include the growing use of automation, real-information technology, as well as hybrid construction. Madison Concrete has been a forerunner in the use of real-time data at our jobsites for several years. This isn’t simply a matter of being mobile, rather, actually having data at our fingertips in the field that allows us to be nimble and responsive. We will continue to look for ways to use automation, hybrid method and technologies as well as employ information technology in smart and efficient ways that aid in our processes and communication.

Building on these trends, a continued focus for our industry is our workforce, finding the right people as well as improving teamwork and productivity. In 2018, we will continue to strengthen our professional development opportunities for our team members as well as strengthen our long-standing safety program, ensuring our focus never becomes stagnant.

And the final two identified trends also resonate with our focus – combating the threat of timber materials as well as focusing on resilient construction. We know that concrete is the long-term solution in terms of safety, durability as well as resilience. Please join us in continuing to build the region with concrete structures that will prove to stand the test of time.

As you enter 2018, we welcome the opportunity to strengthen our relationship to you and your team. Let us know how we can help you secure work, train your teams and improve communication with our professionals. We value your partnership.
